Mode of Action
ENZYMATIC COFACTOR MECHANISM (STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY)
• Hydroxylation: It maintains iron (Fe2+) and copper (Cu2+) in their reduced states within enzyme active sites. This is most critical for Prolyl and Lysyl Hydroxylase, which facilitate the cross-linking of collagen fibers.
• Target Impact: This ensures skeletal development in Poultry, prevents spinal deformities in Aqua, and supports vascular integrity across all species.
REDOX HOMEOSTASIS & SYNERGY (ANTIOXIDANT DEFENSE)
• Vitamin E Regeneration: It exhibits a "sparing effect" by donating an electron to oxidized tocopheroxyl radicals, recycling Vitamin E back into its active antioxidant form.
- • Target Impact: This protects cell membranes from lipid peroxidation, which is particularly vital for Cattle mammary health (lowering somatic cell counts) and Fish tissue resilience.
NEURO-ENDOCRINE MODULATION (STRESS RESPONSE)
• Corticosteroid Inhibition: It limits the synthesis and secretion of stress hormones (like corticosterone in poultry and cortisol in fish/cattle) by inhibiting 11-β-hydroxylase in the adrenal cortex.
• Immune Stimulation: It enhances the chemotactic and phagocytic activity of leukocytes and promotes the proliferation of T-lymphocytes.
• Target Impact: This is the primary mechanism used to combat heat stress in poultry and transport/handling stress in aquaculture and cattle
