An effective solution for Inflammation, Fever & Pain
Carprofen is a NSAID and possesses anti-inflammatory, analgesic & antipyretic activity. Carprofen inhibits COX enzyme. Carprofen reduces prostaglandin E2 production and inflammatory exudate and leukotriene B-4 is inhibited.
Each bolus contains Carprofen USP 500 mg.
Carprofen is indicated in fever, pain, inflammatory diseases and acute infectious respiratory disease & acute mastitis in cattle as supportive therapy. Carprofen also indicated in synovitis, bursitis, arthritis, tendinitis, sprains, twist, traumatic injuries etc.
Cattle: 2 mg/kg body weight orally once daily. Horses: 0.7 mg/kg body weight orally once daily for up to 4 or 9 days. Dogs: 2-4 mg/kg body weight orally daily in divided doses for 7 days & then 2 mg once daily. Sheep: 4 mg/kg body weight orally once daily. Birds/Reptiles: 1-4 mg/kg body weight orally once daily.
