Pro AC 34 is based on the eubiotic approach, which aims to address digestive disorders by promoting a healthy gastrointestinal microflora. This concept emphasizes the suppression of pathogens and the promotion of lactic acid-producing bacteria and the intestinal microflora, rather than resorting to antibiotics. Pro AC 34 is a combination of alpha mono-propionin and alpha mono-butyrin, both of which exhibit distinct chemical behaviors. They are hydro-dispersible and, therefore, function as emulsifying compounds. Their chemical characteristics enable these molecules to remain active in four different environments: water, feed, the stomach, and the intestinal tract.

Mode of Action
Pro AC 34 exhibits antibacterial effects against gram-negative pathogens such as E. Coli and Salmonella. These effects are attributed to the non-specific surface active properties of the esters, acting as surfactants. Studies have demonstrated that these esters disrupt cell membranes, leading to their antibacterial and anti-fungal activities.
