Composition
BACTIPHAGE-EC is a cocktail of four bacteriophages in a water soluble vegetable carrier base. Each of the four isolates is present at high concentration (2x107 PFU per gram of product)
Mode of Action
• Attachment: Phage tail proteins bind to specific receptors on the bacterial surface.
• Entry & Replication: Phage DNA injected into bacterium, DNA copied and phage genes are expressed to make proteins.
• Assembly & Lysis: New phages are assembled and released by the bacterial cell bursts, infecting other E. coli bacterium
Indication
• To prevent adverse effects due to E. coli related diseases in affected birds.
• To Reduce mortality & morbidity of E. coli affected birds.
• To improve general health and litter quality of birds
